Dominican Republic Service Trip
November 2023

In November 2023 I was a returning traveler on the Dominican Republic Service Trip. I chose to go again because the first time I went changed my life and I wanted to experience that again! We faced lots of challenges but we also had lots of fun and did valuable work as a team. Once again, I worked alongside wonderful people and hopefully I can go on the trip next year again as a senior!

New Hampshire
Summer 2023

A week before the start of my junior year I took a short trip to New Hampshire with my family. We went on a beautiful hike through the Flume Gorge, visited Weirs Beach, saw movies at a drive in movie theatre, and went on a few more hikes. Despite only being there for a couple of days, I loved New Hampshire and I hope I can go back soon to do more hikes!

Smokey Mountains Tennessee Summer 2023

Less than a week after school ended my family and I went on a road trip down south to visit the Smokey Mountains National Park in Tennessee. We are a family that loves to take road trips, hike, and experience the natural beauty of the places we visit. The views featured in the Smokey Mountains were beautiful and we fell in love with the park! After our adventures in the Smokey Mountains we visited Nashville and went to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge.

Florida
Spring Break 2023

For my 10th grade spring break, I joined my grandparents' annual road trip to Florida and made many memories. We ate foods from different cultures like Cuban, Indian, and classic southern BBQ. We golfed, went to the beach, visited museums, and much more. Hopefully I can go with them again!

Dominican Republic Service Trip
November 2022

In November of 2022 I made my first trip to the Dominican Republic with students, faculty, and parents from Watkinson along with 4 UCONN residents. We travelled to the DR to do service work and give aid to people living in Batey's. We were there for the week of Thanksgiving and the trip changed my life! I learned countless lessons, made connections that I will cherish forever, and had the best time working not only with the people I travelled with but those I met along the way.
