Global Issues Project 

Every year, Global Studies juniors are tasked with creating their Global Issue Projects where they highlight a global issue, topic, or problem and connect it to the Global Studies themes and skills. For my project, I wrote an article discussing gentrification in Puerto Rico and how locals have been affected and displaced. Gentrification and colonization have been issues in Puerto Rico for centuries but they have worsened in recent years. I chose this topic because it is something I care deeply for as I have a lot of family in Puerto Rico that has been affected. The link to the article is below.
